Disneyland visitor falls from 'Tower of Terror'

Perhaps a good tip for amusement park operators, particularly those operating under the slogan 'The Happiest Place on Earth', would be not to actually perpetuate the name of the rides you build.

Disneyland's so-called 'Tower of Terror' did just that, a television newsroom has reported, after a guest fell some 25 feet while waiting to hop onboard one of the ride's elevators.

Although the ride is actually made to have guests drop down several flights of stairs in just a matter of seconds, Disney hopes that guests opt to use the tower's built-in terror elevators.

The 20-year old climbed a rail and fell off - having had alcohol - and having just joked to his friends about the potential of actually falling off.

He was treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital.

Jon Stewart on media's coverage of Obama: Nothing he does will ever make you happy

On his show last night, comedian Jon Stewart responded to the widespread criticism of Obama's decision to appear on the daytime talk show The View - referred to by Stewart as the 'misadventures of the world's unluckiest couch'.

Stewart pointed out that, in fact, nothing the president does 'will ever make you guys happy' - referring to the media's coverage of Obama - and that if he hadn't taken the slot on the television show, he would have been criticized anyway for having given up an opportunity to debate public policy.

Anti-Republicanism comes alive in all new Apple ad parody

There are so many Apple ad parodies out there, but this one takes a slightly different angle. Not taking the path of satirizing Apple products, but more the Grand Old Party, is what makes this particular video stand out. Want a president who still thinks America's energy issues can be solved by drilling more wells like the one in the Gulf? There's a Republican for that.

Anybody in Scotland need a cheap sign?

I've always admired companies whose advertising uses their product, and I think this is an exemplary photo for that very reason.

Somebody tell Ogilvy, I think we have a new contender for best advertising company of all time.

Turns out that Steve Jobs has always been a fan of turtlenecks

As if to prove the influence Steve Jobs has had on Apple computer, we encourage you to simply glance at the old Apple II poster to the left of this text, circa 1977.

In case you're unaware of the significance this old poster possesses, it is one of Steve Jobs' trademark fashion statements to turn up at Apple events clad in a turtleneck with mandatory sneakers and jeans.

Timeless fashion, certainly appropriate for such a timeless company. [Via Gizmodo]

Mel Gibson rant remix: Tape of racist rant in all new disco mode

It was only a matter of time after Mel Gibson's latest racist rant against his partner was turned into a disco dance remix. Embedded below is one we think is particularly worthy of our praise, and a place on the Murray Report homepage.

After the tape was released, there was intense speculation that it may mark the end of his career, due to the huge public relations disaster that has followed. This particular rant is the latest in a long-stretching string of Gibson remarks that have sparked controversy within Hollywood.

Oil spill parody - BP Spills Coffee

This is a video, produced by UCB Comedy and featured on Talking Points Memo that perfectly parodies the current BP oil spill situation by using a most clever metaphor - coffee.

It must be said that it is wonderful we are able to pull some humour out of what is naturally a very dire situation. Incase you missed it, it was recently announced that the estimates for the amount of oil that was leaking each day into the Gulf had been raised by around 100%, and that earlier estimates had been totally inaccurate.

Perhaps at this late stage it would be good to pull some scientists away from making technology to extract oil, and put them to work creating technology to clean it up.

Booty Pop - the pants that make your backside look fat - no joke

First there was breast implants, then the push-up bra, now, informercials are targeting a totally different area of the woman's body. Introducing Booty Pop - the push-up bra for your backside.

I kid you not, you can actually buy these - and not from some obscure second hand store. In fact, the product, which is designed to offer the 'ultimate, perfectly shaped booty' has been featured on The View, and critiqued by Regis and Kelly.

It was even advertised during Ellen today with the commercial embedded above.

US Vice President and White House chief of staff have water fight

Some people have some odd ways of letting off stress and relaxing. For the Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden, and the White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, this means having a super soaker water fight.

The pictures surfaced on Twitter from CNN's Ed Henry.

They show the two powerful politicians waging a battle not against policy or their Republican opponents, but against little girls.

"C'mon Biden, fight her like a man".

The TV prop revelation that's swarming the internet

A Filckr user, who is either extremely observant, or at least watches too much television, compiled a group of images that show that the same newspaper has been used on screen for decades.

It reveals that TV production companies, fearful of legal repercussions should they choose to use real newspapers, have used the same newspaper prop over and over again.
