Larry Ellison mocks HP board - Just like the 'idiots' at Apple

Larry Ellison, the billionaire CEO of business software firm Oracle and Silicon Valley's official spendmaster general, has caused a stir within the technology gossip world after he likened the board at embattled hardware maker HP to the 'idiots' at tech giant Apple Inc.

Ellison took time out of his busy schedule to talk to the New York Times on the matter, reports Engadget.

"The H.P. board just made the worst personnel decision since the idiots on the Apple board fired Steve Jobs many years ago. That decision nearly destroyed Apple and would have if Steve hadn't come back and saved them," he is quoted to have told a reporter.

Ellison also criticized the people at HP for releasing the sexual harassment claim brought against CEO Mark Hurd. He went on to say that it was a case of "cowardly corporate political correctness".
