Welcome to the new Murray Report

Unless you're new, you may have noticed that we are sporting a new look tonight.

Although we're by no means finished yet, we are very pleased to present the latest version of Murray Report to our users tonight.

The new design focuses and augments the existing content on the site, allowing for easy access to the most commonly accessed sections within the site.

As well as a new look, gradient logo, navigation bar and a number of other design changes, we've decided to fold all of our former categories into a number of bigger 'verticals' which cater to various user interests.

Our 'Hollywood' column will continue as usual, but we have a couple of new names for users. 'Valley' is our new name for the older technology Silicon Valley gossip column that we had in the old design. Likewise, Mediafile will replace our 'Media' column, and Citizen Murray will cover politics. 'Weird' will continue to serve as our compendium of oddity, and a new vertical - 'Culture' - will cater to those seeking coverage of art, theatre, design and photography.

We also intend to emphasize non-categorical pages within the site, which include 'Editors & Bloggers' - an up-to-date index of all the people who contribute to the site which should be launched within the coming months.

Thank you for taking the time to review our new design, and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Alistair Murray is Managing Editor of the Murray Report.
