Fans of the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz may be disappointed with the latest story of escapades perpetrated by the beloved 'Tin Man' character. A man dressed as the character, who is made entirely of tin, stabbed a Times Square visitor with a screwdriver.
The conflict, according to a popular New York tabloid, was sparked by a turf war which erupted between two street performers in the popular tourist destination. The man got into an argument, it has been reported, with a CitySights employee.
"It was a scuffle going back and forth on the ground," said a witness who observed the entire ordeal. "The silver guy got up and took off."
