Rush Limbaugh: It's only fair that people of color (Michelle Obama) get their taste of wealth too
"As far as the media's concerned, Mrs. Obama deserves this," he said. "Look at the sordid past. Look at our slave past, look at the discriminatory past. It's only fair that people of color get their taste of the wealth of America too."
The recently married Limbaugh has had his share of controversy. A member of the conservative elite and a person who openly condemns gay rights, the radio host attracted media attention when it was announced that Elton John would be playing at his wedding.

Infamous gossip website leaves Limbaugh a wedding day message
Gawker, a news and gossip website, has published this photograph of a banner that it flew high over Palm Beach on the wedding day of conservative political pundit, Rush Limbaugh. The text that was to be displayed on the banner was decided through a competition on Gawker's website, where users could submit their suggestions.
This was not my favorite message, however. Personally, I would have preferred something more along the lines of "GET 20% OFF YOUR NEXT MARRIAGE + SHRIMP" or "THIS TIME HE REALLY MEANS IT". You can see a full list here.
Limbaugh's gay slipup
Rush Limbaugh, who has come to fame through, among other things, a radio show, became the target of immense media scrutiny yesterday as he tied the knot with his girlfriend in Palm Beach, Florida.
Limbaugh has been under particular scrutiny, however, about his employment of Elton John, the openly gay pianist and vocalist, to sing at his wedding reception - reportedly for a price as high as one million US dollars.
Ordinarily, this would have been perfectly acceptable and normal - but this was Rush Limbaugh. It is rather hard to let such an event go by without reminding ourselves that Limbaugh is most popular and well known for his blatantly conservative and anti-gay commentary of politics and current affairs.
The Palm Beach Post reported that there was a 26-year difference between Limbaugh and his newly-wed wife.

Obama Rejects Rush Limbaugh Golf Match: Rush 'Can Play With Himself'
A new book claims that President Obama refused to play golf with conservative talk radio star Rush Limbaugh.
In "Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One," which is due out later this month, author Zev Chafets reports that the President rebuffed a suggestion to meet his nemesis on the links. From the New York Post's Page Six:
When President Obama was asked if he would play a round of golf with his talk-radio nemesis Rush Limbaugh, the response, relayed by a top Democrat, was: "Limbaugh can play with himself."
Page Six reports that Chafets offered to ask the White House if Obama would play golf with Limbaugh, and Limbaugh said to "go ahead," predicting "nothing will come of it." Chafets then got in touch with "a very senior Democratic activist" who supposedly conveyed the request to the White House and returned with the message: "Limbaugh can play with himself."
