Newly designed Brisbane hospital for children is a wasteland of colorful hope

The new hospital for children (pictured above) in Brisbane may just be the most colorful hospital in the world. Due to open sometime in 2014, the new building is said to be costing local government just over $1 billion.

According to gadget website Gizmodo, once it's finished in four years' time, the hospital will contain 359 beds and is just bright and cheery-looking enough that it should help lessen the trauma of the kids who are cooped up inside. [Via Gizmodo] View more pictures after the jump.
