Online mega-retailer Amazon.com cut the price for its ancient e-reader, Kindle, as new competition (such as the iPad) begins to roll onto its turf.
Perhaps it's not so much about keeping iPads out of the hands of consumers, but keeping iBooks out of the hands of consumers.
I think somebody's getting a little bit frightened!
